Description

This Polaroid ONE model was the first of a new range of “ONE” series bodies that Polaroid started releasing in 1993. The streamlined design that folds the viewfinder and controls into the body when not in use turned out to be the last generation body that Polaroid (the original company) produced.  The focal length is 100mm and has a focusing range from 3ft (.9m) to infinity, with shutter speeds from 1/4s to 1/200s. There’s an LCD frame counter that counts down to 10 (because packs of 600 film used to contain 10 frames).

This first version also has several features that were latterly only made available on higher-end models:

  • Flash on / red-eye /off switch. Useful for creative photography (see example window image in the gallery).
  • Self-timer with front indicator LED when activated.
  • Standard tripod mount thread on the base (rare across the Polaroid range for some reason).

Condition: This copy is in good nick, with some signs of use but very presentable (more images coming later). It’s been film tested (see the two example Polaroids in the gallery, taken with this particular camera a day before this listing was published). The motor drive operates to automatically eject the dark slide and subsequent images as it should. The LCD counter works as does the self-timer LED. The rollers are clean, and so are the optics.
