Zeiss Ikon Box-Tengor type 56/2

Now sold, sorry...

Description

This Zeiss Ikon box camera takes 120 film shooting 6×9 and it’s the final iteration of the Box-Tengor model, known as the Type 56/2. It was built between 1951 and 1956.

There are two speeds ~1/25 (“instant”) and Bulb, with double exposure prevention. The lens is a Goerz Frontar Achromat which has three aperture settings (ƒ9, ƒ11 & ƒ16) and three focus zones (3-6, 6-20, 20-∞ feet).

Included is a Kodak 320 yellow ‘Cloud Filter’ and push-pit holder.

Condition: The camera is old, and has the patina to match the age. Some surface marks and some paint chips on the edges. It’s been film tested and works well!
There’s a fabric case, looks original in age, which is solid enough to hold the camera but the fabric strap is partly worn/torn (see gallery pic) so not to be trusted without a fix.
On the rear of the camera, one corner of the skin has lifted, as can been see in the left-hand side gallery picture. This will be fixed before shipping.
