Description
The Helios 44 is renown for its solid build and beautiful bokeh. This is the M42 version, with stop-down pin, and A-M switch to select auto or manual aperture.
This particular lens is being sold for a friend who used it with a Zenit. The A-M switch was badly corroded so the lens has had a strip-down, the A-M switch swapped-out from a ‘spare’ one in better condition, and the mechanical have had a good clean at the same time.
The optics are clean, haze and fungus free. Aperture blades are clean, free and fast. The ring markings are all good, with some worn black enamel in a few places.
