This 35mm film picker/puller is used to retrieve the ‘leader’ on a 35mm film which has been fully rolled back into the cassette.
Whether you develop your own film, and/or bulk roll film with a bulk loader, or just occasionally accidentally wind a film back too far, this tool is an essential piece of kit.
It works by using a series of tongues (3!) to locate and alight the leader as the spool is rotated, then grab it and pull it back out. Clever stuff.
