Description
The Polatronic 1 is an electronic flash unit designed to fit square-bodied SX-70 Land Cameras like the 1000, 2000, The Button etc.
The unit has rudimentary automatic exposure with a 3-position light level switch. On the rear there is also a ‘flash ready’ lamp that doubles as a test button. It takes 4 x AA (LR6) batteries, preferably Alkaline but NiMH cells will do. The flash clips onto ridges on the side of the camera, and connection is made via a little protruding PCB with three contacts on it.
Condition: This unit works fully, it’s in good cosmetic condition (see gallery) and has been film tested with a Polaroid 1000 running 600 film and a set of out ND Filters. See gallery for a flash pic of some plants in the front room.
